Mazzorbo
Nel 1979 Giancarlo De Carlo riceve l'incarico di realizzare un quartiere sull'isola di Mazzorbo a Venezia. Un progetto complesso, delicato caratterizzato dall'attenzione per i piccoli dettagli, dagli angoli curati e dalla percezione di un certo rispetto verso i futuri abitanti. Colto in un pomeriggio estivo, il nuovo vocabolario architettonico di De Carlo emerge dalle fotografie come sintesi tra Mazzorbo e Burano, sottolineando la gentilezza dello spazio creato.
In 1979 Giancarlo De Carlo was tasked with the project of a new residential complex on the Mazzorbo island in the Venetian Lagoon. Defined by its interconnectedness and consideration for the quality of the spaces built, the design is a masterful representation of Giancarlo De Carlo’s work and disposition towards Architecture and its inhabitants. Through the hazy light of a late summer afternoon, the new vocabulary built by De Carlo emerges as synthesis between Mazzorbo and Burano.
